It is not easy to reset but yet everyone wants to do it regularly.
Reseting might look like one thing on this list versus all seven items. Life is busy and thought you are making the effort, please do not stress to do everything. The ooint of a reset is to get into a state of routine and peace not to feel exhausted and have to rest from the rest.
- Reconnect with Your Goals: Take a moment to revisit your wellness goals for the year. Are you still aligned with them? Consider any adjustments (small ones work just fine) or new aspirations you'd like to focus on for the next quarter.
- Prioritize Self-Care: Remember to prioritize self-care amidst the busyness of life. Schedule regular "me time" for activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul, whether it's meditation, exercise, or simply enjoying a hobby.
- Stay Hydrated: Hydration is key to overall well-being. Make sure you're drinking enough water and liquids throughout the day to keep your body functioning optimally and maintain healthy energy levels.
- Move Your Body: Find ways to incorporate movement into your daily routine, whether it's a brisk walk, yoga session, or dance break. Physical activity not only boosts your mood but also supports cardiovascular health and strengthens your immune system. Remmeber, baby steps when it comes to working out.
- Practice Mindfulness: Cultivate mindfulness in your daily life by being present in the moment and tuning into your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Incorporate mindfulness practices like deep breathing, body scans, or mindful eating to reduce stress and enhance mental clarity.
- Nourish Your Body: Fuel your body with nutritious foods that support your overall health and vitality. Aim for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats to give your body the nutrients it needs to thrive. I just read the book - The Circadian Code: Lose Weight, Supercharge Your Energy, and Transform Your Health from Morning to Midnight by Satchin Panda. It shifted my mindset on relationship with food.
- Reach Out for Support: Remember that it's okay to ask for help when you need it. Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, or other challenges, reaching out to friends, family, or a professional can provide valuable support and guidance on your wellness journey. I struggled with asking for help myself but now I ask for accountability.
